![]() Three of those explosions occurred in Roswell. Throughout the Atlas F project, four silos malfunctioned and were destroyed by the missiles they harbored. In the ’90s, the missiles were salvaged and parts of the silo were used for other programs, essentially destroying any knowledge of the once-ambitious project. “Can you imagine playing in these things and then taking it a little further?” Baker used to play in them in the ’70s when he attended the New Mexico Military Institute. Purchasing two of the silos 25 years ago for $55,000 a pop, Baker turned one of them into his home. “It took barely two and half years to build them and two years to operate them.” “It held an intercontinental ballistic missile with a 4-megaton warhead on her,” said Gary Baker, the current owner of two missile silos in Roswell. Each silo cost $22 million to build, and there were 72 constructed for the project throughout the whole U.S. More shocking, there were once 12 of these missile silos surrounding Roswell where Walker Air Force Base once stood. It’s a missile silo that once housed an intercontinental ballistic missile beginning in 1962 under the Atlas F project. You won’t be able to spot it from the road very easily. ROSWELL, N.M. (KRQE) – There’s a piece of Cold War history just east of Roswell, New Mexico, and one businessman wants to make it into an attraction.

I still have no idea how to possibly report this as a bug to AMD, though the new feedback feature only covers game-specific issue, not generic drive ones. Ever dont bother if you need important things, it wont work. Surround sound setups are not uncommon these days, and "Auto" is the default setting for AMD's audio recording feature, so now I wonder if this bug affects everyone with a surround setup or maybe just where Creative drivers are involved? Downloaded the app, every time I use it, it only will record for a minute or two and the rest of the recording is silent, with no audio. This might also explain the time at which the problem started for me, it might have been when I installed a new sound card (Sound Blaster ZxR), so my audio settings changed. The stickler in me also notes that if AMD is going to abort the capture, they should at least log explicitly when and why. If I understand it correctly, the flag is just set to notify that there might be audio glitches due to missing samples. The Core Audio documentation also doesn't imply that it's grounds for panic. I even remember googling that audio warning (it was still in my search history) and concluding that it's a non-critical thing that can commonly happen at the beginning of a capture. Well, fancy that! Thus ends a year-long odyssey, it works on Stereo. Open the log and you should see what's causing your ReLive to not record. I replicated the motion event bug on a brand new, out of the box Windows 7 Dell PC! Yet, oddly, nobody else ever, ever has these problems! I don't understand it. They affect my work PC (10), previous work PC (XP), home PC (10), previous home PC (XP), and other PCs I've used. These bugs occur in Windows XP, 7, 8 and 10, and affect both the black and white versions. (There's a bonus bug if you install IntelliPoint, but that has the only wheel acceleration implementation I've ever found that works well.) Motion events are also duplicated spuriously upon button up/down events - subtle, but selecting part of an image fails constantly as the mouse-up is preceded by a false motion event cloned from the one that last occurred. The ring buffer or whatever it is keeps transmitting spurious wheel events (duplicates of prior events), at random, but frequently usually just one event, a few seconds after the last wheel rotation (or immediately if you try clicking) and if you need to rotate the wheel to undo this, you can get into click–rotate war with the mouse. Estimated_price_for_academic_customer_annum ![]() Nişanyan states that the word has the equivalent meaning of 'frying, burning' with kabābu in the old Akkadian language, and kbabā כבבא in Aramaic. It appears in Turkish texts as early as the 14th century, in Kyssa-i Yusuf (the story of Joseph), though still in the Arabic form. According to linguist Sevan Nişanyan, the Turkish word kebap is also derived from the Arabic word kabāb, meaning roasted meat. The word kebab likely came to English in the late 17th century from the Arabic kabāb, partly through Hindustani, Persian and Turkish. Kebab dishes have been adopted and integrated with local cooking styles and innovations, from the now-ubiquitous doner kebab fast food, to the many variations of shish kebab, such as the satays of Southeast Asia. According to Ibn Battuta, a Moroccan traveller, kebab was served in the royal houses during the Delhi Sultanate (1206–1526 CE), and even commoners would enjoy it for breakfast with naan. This cuisine has spread around the world, in parallel with Muslim influence. Though the word has ancient origins, it was popularized in the West by Turks to refer to this range of grilled and broiled meat, which may be cooked on skewers, but also as stews, meatballs, and other forms. However, while the word kebab or shish kebab may sometimes be used in English as a culinary term that refers to any type of small chunks of meat cooked on a skewer, kebab is mainly associated with a diversity of meat dishes that originated in the medieval kitchens of Persia and Anatolia. In Ibn Sayyar al-Warraq's 10th-century Baghdadi cookbook Kitab al-Tabikh ( Arabic: كتاب الطبيخ), a compendium of much of the legacy of Mesopotamian, Persian, and Arab cuisine, there are descriptions of kabāb as cut-up meat, either fried in a pan or grilled over a fire. The traditional meat for kebabs is most often lamb meat, but regional recipes may include beef, goat, chicken, fish, or even pork (depending on whether or not there are specific religious prohibitions). Although kebabs are typically cooked on a skewer over a fire, some kebab dishes are oven-baked in a pan, or prepared as a stew such as tas kebab. ![]() Kebabs consist of cut up or ground meat, sometimes with vegetables and various other accompaniments according to the specific recipe. Obscurity is almost the expectation in the small town of Osawari where your character (detective Mackenzie) lives. The cute Lolita-style world highlights the strangeness of each character, with Mackenzie having regular internal conversations that often side-track away from the topic at hand. It's a charming and intriguing world that beggars curiosity, especially when the game starts out by having you chase someone stealing dreams, but once you're in to the game proper the bubble quickly bursts.Īs per the game's title there's an emphasis on 'touching', which in any other adventure game would simply be referred to a clicking and you'll need to do a lot of it. There are no highlights to point out objects of interest (which means you may not make the connection between repairing a net with a spider-web without external help - you're welcome by the way) and when the game fails to provide any hints about where to go next you'll need to go room-by-room touching everything in the blind hope that you progress the story. With the fix being as simple as implementing an object highlight or hint system, it's hard to understand why the developer would keep the game's beguilingly confusing system exactly the same after all this time. ![]() The clever dialogue, cute visual style and intriguing world make it an easy game to like, but the gameplay pushes you away making it hard to justify purchasing all the remaining chapters of the game. We have mixed feelings about the Venture Ready Pack 26L’s single water bottle pocket. You can use these to lash bulky gear across the front or to hang accessories on the individual loops-the choice is yours. We don’t usually see these on Bellroy’s gear, but the outdoor nature of the Venture Ready line makes it a near necessity. ![]() There are also loop tabs on the four corners at the front. Bellroy Venture Ready Pack 26L | These are very water-resistant zippers. It’s an intuitive way to differentiate the zippers when you’re unzipping blindly in the dark, and we commend Bellroy for this small attention to detail (assuming they did this on purpose). Bonus points: Bellroy went as far as to knot the paracord of the main compartment’s zippers four times, but only twice for the top pocket. The paracord pulls are a nice touch-nothing says outdoorsy quite like paracord. They glide relatively smoothly and have been reliable throughout testing. Admittedly, they look stiff to operate, though that’s quickly dispelled once you put them into action. As the name suggests, these are very water-resistant zippers, and rightfully so, given the intended use for this bag. What’s harder to argue against are the YKK AquaGuard zippers. That said, it’s a subjective matter, so we’ll leave the final decision up to you. Again, the only aspect that betrays the aesthetic here is the grid texture of the Canva Ripstop fabric. As cliche as it sounds, it’s quite a minimalist design, and we dig it. There’s a small and tastefully applied logo at the front, a few clean lines from a crease or zipper track, and not much else. ![]() Bellroy Venture Ready Pack 26L | The ripstop fabric is tough, though its rough texture is a bit polarizing.Īside from the fabric, the Venture Ready Pack 26L looks like any other Bellroy-designed backpack. However, we will concede that this fabric is quite lightweight, and that matters when you’re trying to make a backpack for outdoor adventures. In other words, most of us prefer the brand’s usual pick of materials, at least in terms of look and feel. ![]() While a majority of the Pack Hacker crew don’t love this fabric’s rough and stiff texture, it’s undoubtedly as durable as Bellroy’s other fabrics. Gone is the usual soft-looking and colorful Baida Nylon or Puffed Polyester, and, in its place, we get Canva Ripstop. The first major shift in Bellroy’s design is the fabric. At the same time, Bellroy’s kept what we like about their gear mostly intact: clean aesthetics, a comfortable harness system, and a suite of pockets to guarantee a satisfactory level of gear organization. No, this lineup’s all about outdoor adventure, with its Canva Ripstop fabric leading the charge for lightweight durability. It’s part of their Venture Ready line-not to be confused with their other Venture gear like the Venture Backpack 22L or Venture Sling 6L. ![]() Bellroy Venture Ready Pack 26L | Ad-Venture Ready. Then again, if the designers put their minds to it, we’re sure they can deliver-and deliver they have. They make durable and good-looking bags, but they’re not exactly built for the rough-and-tumble, adventurous lifestyle of some travelers. Bellroy isn’t the first brand that comes to mind when we think of outdoor gear. |
